From the moment we walked in for a tour of the venue until the big day for our daughter, we knew we had chosen the right place. The Grand at 290 is the whole package from the first floor to the rooftop. I am from Rocky Mount and grew up visiting this place to shop
and now see it come back to life and be the place my daughter and her husband had their dream wedding.  I am proud to show off our beautiful town and let everyone see this venue and its true beauty. This venue is absolutely gorgeous and the owners are so kind and helpful. The experience we had here was amazing and our special day was perfect! I could not be more happy with our decision to use this venue. It was definitely a 10/10 experience! I will be recommending this venue to anyone looking for a place to hold a special event!

My son Ryan and his bride Kali were married there on October 15, 2022. The beautiful woodwork, decor and lighting gave an elegant flair to the evening. The upstairs large ceremony space was draped in sheers and chandeliers with pews adorned with lighted wreaths. Just perfect and romantic.  For those who cannot do the stairs there is an elevator. The brides dressing room was large enough for all the girls to get prepared for the day and the Groom and his men had a space of their own across the street. Great back patio just meant for socializing.  The owners Nicole and Mark were a pleasure to work with and would definitely recommend The Grand at 290 for your next event.

My husband and I were married at the Grand at 290 on July 30, 2022. We had the most amazing experience and will enjoy these memories for the rest of our lives. Friends and family STILL come up to us telling us how much of a great time they had and felt that it was one of the best weddings that they had been to.

We got engaged in December 2021 and began our search for a venue soon after. The Grand at 290 was the second place we visited, and I knew immediately this is where I wanted to get married. The location of this venue is unique. It’s on Main Street in Rocky Mount and we loved all the unique architecture that the buildings offered. Plus, the venue has parking in the back for all guests as well.  We loved that the venue was indoor because I didn’t want to have to stress about the weather. The indoor ceremony room was perfect for a mid-summer wedding, and it was decorated so beautifully. It reminded me of a fairytale wedding with all the draping and chandeliers. It made the ceremony room look very chic. The reception area is also very modern looking with exposed piping and tall ceilings. The accent lighting that was put up in the room really set the mood for our reception and you can choose ANY color you want! I also loved the outdoor patio area, it’s very cute with lights streamed around and they even have a little fire pit! This area is where we had our Photobooth stand, and it fit perfectly so people who were leaving/coming could jump in for a pic!

Aside from the venue itself, we loved working with Mark and Nicole. They are such down to earth, sweet people who want you to have the best day possible! We did have a unique setup as we did a cocktail style reception vs a seated dinner. They worked with our caterer to set up the room perfectly where we had multiple food stations, high top bar tables, and regular seating scattered throughout the room. This set up allowed our guests to mingle and move freely throughout the reception room and outdoor area. I also hired Nicole as our coordinator which was perfect because who better knows a venue than the owner herself. 😊 She is so organized and she really helped make my vision a reality. All the décor from our wedding was provided by The Grand at 290 (besides the flowers) and this was one of the main reasons I picked this location. Their décor is modern and stylish which I loved, yet unique enough to be used for multiple types of weddings! I also loved the signage in the venue window that lit up with congratulations to us. Again, something unique you don’t really see at other venues.

We loved the bridal and groom suites as well! The groom’s suite is located across the street from the venue, which we thought was perfect because it gave the guys their own area to hang out in.  Plenty of area for everyone to socialize and to get ready. The bridal suite was absolutely beautiful and there was a sitting area for pictures of the bridesmaids and I getting ready. Great location for bridal pictures as well with a large mirror. Multiple seating areas for the girls as we got our hair and makeup done.

Another perk of this venue is the rooftop area for sunset pictures. Our pictures turned out BEAUTIFUL, it was right as the sun was going down and the lighting couldn’t have been more perfect!
