We had over 75 guests and didn’t feel crowded at all. The outside bar area was a nice touch and helped reduce congestion. The bridal suite has amazing decor and perfectly thought out spaces for photos with the girls. The groomsmen suite across the street was also great for the guys to hang out and watch football. Truly a wonderful day, thank you so much Venue 290 for your attention to detail and allowing us to use your beautiful space!
The vendors who work with Venue 290 were all amazing — delicious cake, delicious dinner/appetizers, great music and the nicest photographer. Everyone who was involved in our day from start to finish was exceptional.

I got married here 6/19/25 with the micro wedding package and it was the best day of my life. I got so many compliments on the venue and all the included vendors. Photography by Beth Preston and catering by Ippy’s Restaurant were the standouts, but they were all wonderful. The value you’re getting is truly unmatched. As a bride on a budget, I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to have the vintage moody wedding of my dreams. As cliche as it sounds, Venue 290 changed my life by being everything I wanted and more.
This review would be incomplete without a specific shoutout to Nicole, one of the venue owners and the wedding planner included. I cannot say enough about all she did for us. If it was up to me and my now husband to plan this wedding on our own, it wouldn’t have been anywhere close the what it was. She is the kindest, most patient, and most talented person and planner ever.
The only mistake you can make with Venue 290 would be not booking with them at all.

I couldn’t recommend Venue290 enough, there are not enough stars. We had a micro wedding here and it was more fun and beautiful than I ever imagined. Although it was a “micro” wedding, they provided ALL the bells and whistles (and they offer bubbles, too!)
Venue space: 100/10
Adorable bridal space & grooms room for getting ready and photos, the ceremony space is a dreamlike chapel with a fluffy pink stage and beautiful lighting, the reception area is downstairs which was SO convenient, picturesque scenery & a the view from the rooftop was such a unique and beautiful touch.
Food: 100/10
We had catering from a local BBQ restaurant, Rocky Mount Smokehouse and it was incredible. The brisket, mac n cheese, salmon… all of it was just out of this world. I heard rave reviews about the salmon for days!
Music: 100/10
My husband and I are HUGE music fans and love going to festivals and shows. That’s what we wanted for the wedding and that’s what we got. We had some pretty non-traditional songs and they NAILED it.

We have only seen a preview of the photos so far and I cannot get over them! (Photography by Beth Preston LLC on Facebook) did such an amazing job. She captured the most beautiful moments and was so much fun to work with.
Nicole and her team were incredibly helpful, and there for us every step of the way. Nicole was so responsive to my thousand questions and cannot express how much it meant that everyone was so open minded to my unique vision. And a special thank you to our Officiant, Carson for honoring our special (and silly) request. It meant SO much!

Our wedding day at Venue 290 was absolutely perfect and flowed so effortlessly! Nicole and Mark took care of everything from start to finish, it was beautiful. 💕
Nicole kept me calm throughout the day and gave me the reassurance I needed when my nerves kicked in. The very next day, texts and calls started pouring in from friends and family raving about how amazing the venue was and how comfortable and welcomed they felt.
The accessibility lift for my grandmother was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch -it made a huge difference. All the little details were spot on, and the food and cupcakes were ahhhmazing!! 😍 Do yourself a favor and get the beef medallions and mac & cheese — IPPY’s for the win!! 🔥
This whole process was so much less stressful thanks to Mark and Nicole. They truly brought our vision to life, and along with our incredible guests, we had the best day ever! We had 72 guests, and to be honest I was a little worried about space for dancing, but there was plenty of room!
I absolutely love Venue 290 and have already recommended it to others. 💍 We chose the blue and amber uplighting, which looked stunning — but they have plenty of color options to match any vibe or theme! ✨
